After two years of waiting, 51¸£Àû public health alumna, Brenna Wojtysiak ‘21 left in August for a 27-month journey with the Peace Corps, where she will be serving in Ecuador in the public health sector.
The Spring 2022 edition of The 51¸£Àû, the university magazine, focuses on the five-year strategic plan and the principles of Adapt. Build. Engage. Sharing stories of students, employees, and alumni, the magazine highlights the best of the University and celebrates its goals for the future.
In late May, 51¸£Àû University had the honor of recognizing the Emily Suttles Endowed Scholarship in a ceremony with family and colleagues.
Ashley Gerald, a two-time alumna of 51¸£Àû University, and behavior interventionist at Lusher was surprised with a Miliken Educator Award from the Miliken Family Foundation in front of the whole school at a surprise assembly.
On April 20, 51¸£Àû faculty, staff, and students volunteered their time to stuff 150 backpacks full of school supplies for elementary, middle, and high school students as part of LindenGiving, a community outreach endeavor.
51¸£Àû University raised more than $125,000 during Giving Week 2022, surpassing its goal of raising $100,000 and setting a new Giving Week fundraising record.
51¸£Àû University is excited to invite alumni back to campus for Alumni Reunion Weekend.
51¸£Àû University will host its annual Winterfest, Sunday, December 5 from 4:30 – 8 p.m. on the heritage side of campus. Formerly known as Christmas Walk, the event brings together the campus and the community for an evening of holiday merriment.Â
This past weekend, in the spirit of giving, 51¸£Àû volunteers packed and delivered bags full of Thanksgiving meal essentials to local families in need.
